It all started when I was driving one day and I was thinking about what I’ve been learning about loan signing and how I was desperate for something that could help answer some key questions I had. What are the exact steps I need to take when completing a signing? What is the best way to confirm an appointment (what do I say to confirm?!)? How can I remember what to say when presenting all the dozens of different loan documents? What exactly do I need to do after each appointment?

It then hit me that I should create a binder for myself! In it, I could include all the important information I was hoping to find online all in one place but was coming up empty. 

When I got home I immediately got to work. I decided I would create a resource for myself that would answer all the burning questions I had about getting started working as a loan signing agent. 

The pivotal moment then came when I thought, “Oh, I should take a quick photo of my binder to share with others this great tool they could also implement in their business!” I quickly snapped a photo, posted it on my Instagram, and went on with my day. Little did I know that it would have such a positive reception with others also on their loan signing journey! I received so many comments and messages from people loving this binder idea. I even had a few people reach out to me to specifically ask if I could sell them my exact binder and encouraged me to open up my own Etsy shop!

This binder has truly helped me so much when I was first starting my loan signing and I’m happy that I can share it with others! My hope is that it will provide you also with the confidence to fully dive into loan signing, allow you to streamline the processes in your business, and be a great tool to use at any point in your journey as a loan signing agent.

• Scripts for 60+ different loan documents for all types of packages: refinances, sellers, buyers, loan modifications, and reverse mortgages.
• Checklist for what to do after an appointment
• Extra jurat and acknowledgment forms for the state of Florida (change this to the state you live in!)
• Name tents to remind signers of the date and who exactly they should sign and initial their names 
• I also include all of this information in Spanish in my binder since I take appointments in both English and Spanish! (or another language if you’re a bilingual notary!)

How to assemble your own binder?

1. Print all documents and place them in clear sheet protectors.
2. Place the documents in a small three-ring binder.
3. Add a cover sheet to the front with your own business name! It makes it look professional and you could easily have it out during a signing appointment to make sure everything runs smoothly.
